Home Ownership Program
We are currently evaluating Habitat for Humanity’s Home Ownership Program, which provides affordable housing to qualified, low-income families from the Long Beach area. The purpose of the study is to determine the program’s impact on participant families, children, and the surrounding neighborhood. We conducted an initial survey among participating families before they moved into their new homes. A follow-up survey will be conducted one-year later among the same participants. In addition to survey data, crime statistics and housing values will also be collected. Results will be detailed and analyzed in a written report.
