Market Research, SR-91
We conducted research and evaluations of a public information and awareness program regarding the State Route 91 Construction Project. The project, designed to increase and manage the capacity of the freeway, entailed the construction of HOV lanes on either side of the 91 Freeway, the demolition and reconstruction of several key overcrossings, and the installation of ramp meters on 13 on-ramps in the construction corridor. We conducted focus groups prior to the launching of the information campaign, with local residents who were impacted during the construction as well as commuters who travel westbound during the morning peak periods into Orange and Los Angeles counties. A second round of focus groups were conducted at the conclusion of the first year to evaluate the effectiveness of the campaign in meeting its goals. In addition, several confidential interviews were conducted with Employee Transportation Coordinators from firms located in Riverside County.
