Feasibility Study of Adding an Occupational Identifier
The California Occupational Information Coordination Committee (COICC) contracted with us to study the feasibility of adding an occupational identifier to the unemployment insurance database. The study activities included: a survey of other states that either have or have attempted to collect such information; interviews with key state staff; and focus groups of employers. The study findings assisted COICC and EDD in determining the potential users of occupational information, as well as identifying the benefits and costs in collecting the data.
